The inaugural Leadership Live will be held at Children’s Medical Center Dallas, May 14–15, 2018, and will focus on reaching out to serve diverse populations of healthcare consumers. It will include three case studies of important consumerism work done by HEI colleagues, an on-site demonstration by Children’s Health, and the opportunity to learn how industry leaders at Amazon, Samsung, and Southwest Airlines are serving their customers.

Children’s Medical Center Dallas

  • For 100 years, the mission of Children’s Health℠ has been to make life better for children. Our beginnings in 1913 were humble, but our vision even then was big. Today, our team takes great pride in being the eighth-largest pediatric healthcare provider in the U.S. and the second busiest in terms of admissions and emergency department visits; the leading pediatric healthcare system in North Texas; and the only academically affiliated pediatric hospital in the area.
  • A private, not-for-profit organization, Children’s Health is anchored by two full-service hospitals, one specialty hospital, and the Children’s Medical Research Institute at UT Southwestern, which performs transformative biomedical research. The system also includes multiple specialty centers, 18 pediatric group practices, a telemedicine network, and home health and physician services.
  • As a healthcare system, the Children’s Health mission is to make life better for children, from daily wellness and primary care to specialty visits and critical care, with more than 40 locations, 7,000 team members and 1,000 physicians committed to this mission.
  • U.S. News & World Report consistently names Children’s Medical Center Dallas one of the top pediatric hospitals nationally in the “Best Children’s Hospitals” survey. In 2016–2017, Children’s Medical Center Dallas was ranked in all 10 specialties: Orthopaedics, Gastroenterology & GI Surgery, Nephrology, Cardiology & Heart Surgery, Urology, Cancer, Neurology & Neurosurgery, Pulmonology, Diabetes & Endocrinology, and Neonatology.
  • In 2016, Children’s Health was named to Hospitals & Health Networks Most Wired for the tenth time in the last 12 years, recognizing its information technology adoption. For the second year in a row, Children’s Health achieved Most Wired “advanced” status. Children’s Health is the only health system in Texas named to the list.
